The Not So Humble Hamlet

Yesterday i enjoyed an original Hamlet cigar. The Hamlet holds a special place in my heart as it was my very first cigar over twenty years ago. The flavour was mild with a nice draw with a minimal honey aroma. And I just couldn't stop hearing the nostalgic Hamlet advert tune play over in my head which brought a smile.

I was fascinated to see just how far Hamlet has progressed since its humbler beginnings back in 1964 and I just can't wait to try some of their newer releases.

Here are a few.

In 2015, Hamlet Paredes joined Rocky Patel and they released the Tabaquero.

In 2017 to honour Hamlets 25th year, they released the Hamlet 25th Year Salomon Robusto. This unique Anniversary line are rolled by 'freehand' from scratch to smoke, at Patels TaviCusa factory in Esteli Nicaragua. No molds or presses are used.

This Robusto was created from a demand for a milder option, as opposed to their original Tabaquero. This is a Honduran Nicaraguan medium bodied blend in Pennsylvanian broadleaf, wrapped in Ecuadorian habano.

2018 saw the release of the Hamlet Liberation cigar, a stylish tapered figurado with an intentionally unique shaggy foot. After this they released a Sixty and a Toro cigar.

The ALA (Aged, Limited and Rare) was announced at the IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas released 2020 last year which proved a hit.
